The room at Hapuku Carriages Kaikoura was cozy and comfortable, with a seating area where I could relax after a long day. It felt like a home away from home. As a business traveler, this was exactly what I needed to unwind and recharge.
Personally, I found the room service at the property to be a bit lacking. However, I understand that others might still enjoy the convenience it offers.

The place is something special, with a fantastic view of the mountains and a beach just 200m away. I was able to admire the stars while relaxing in the outdoor bathtub. The breakfast was excellent in both variety and quantity. The hosts were very kind and the room was spotlessly clean and comfortable.
On the first night, I heard a cargo train passing by, as there is a train track nearby. However, it didn't disturb me on the following night.

Loved the open air bath at night, great morning talks, quirky cottage with recycled materials, free wifi and iconic Kiwi movies. The passing trains? Oh, just added to the romantic atmosphere.
Who needs a good night's sleep anyway with those lovely trains passing by?

The flat-screen TV and DVD player were perfect for our movie nights. And OMG, the beach was so close! We could literally walk there in like 2 minutes. It was the best spot for chilling and playing beach volleyball. Our squad had a blast!
It would have been even better if they had a rockin' sound system for some epic party vibes. That would've taken our vacation to the next level!
